In the news today:

A small plane crashed into a house Friday in North Las Vegas, Nevada, killing three people, said North Las Vegas Fire Chief Kevin Brame. He said a small aircraft crashed into the single-family residence. The pilot was killed, along with one resident of the house, he said. A third victim, who was also inside the home, died later at a hospital.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor said the pilot left North Las Vegas Airport on Friday morning aboard an experimental, home-built Velocity 173RG aircraft.

The plane had some trouble getting off the ground, and eventually smashed into a house near the North Vegas airport. Swell.
