Missi Pyle
She’s one of those actresses that everyone sort of recognizes, because they’ve probably seen her in something — as Laliari in Galaxy Quest, maybe, or Mrs. Beauregarde in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (where she was made of awesome in her pink track suit). She’s a great comedic actress; there’s a scene in Bringing Down the House (don’t judge me; I watch anything with Queen Latifah!) where she fights the Queen, and says she got her fightin’ moves “complements of Tae-Bo, two hours a day, five days a week,” then hilariously peppers the fight with Tae-Bo moves.
She also has a “country singing group” with Shawnee Smith, whose songs have titles like “I Wish You Were Dead.” The lyrics are so moving, I couldn’t possibly type them without bringing myself to tears.
